Cannot open a database due to database file corrupted.
Cause:
The database is corrupted.
Solution:
Repair the database and then reopen it.
1) If any database is still open, close the database.
NOTE: In a multi-user environment, have all users close the database to repair before performing the rest of the steps.
2) To repair the database:
a) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Database Utilities'. (A submenu appears.)
NOTE: 'Database Utilities' is available only when NO databases are open.
b) Select 'Repair Database...' from the submenu. (The Repair Database dialog box appears.)
c) Select the drive where the desired database is located from the 'Look in' drop-down list.
d) Select the folder containing the database to repair from the 'Look in' list box. (The database file is displayed.)
NOTE: If the file is in a subfolder, continue selecting folders until the file is displayed.
e) Select the database to repair from the 'Look in' list box. (The file is highlighted.)

f) Click 'Repair'. (A message appears when the database has been successfully repaired.)
g) Click 'OK' to close the message box.
3) To open the database again:
a) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Open Database...'. (The Open dialog box appears.)

b) Select the drive where the existing database is located from the 'Look in' drop-down list.
c) Select the folder that contains the database file in the 'Look in' list box. (The desired database file appears in the Look in list box.)
NOTE: If the file is in a sub-folder, continue selecting folders in the 'Look in' list box until the database file is displayed.
d) Select the database file. (The file is highlighted.)
